Empowering Communities Through Knowledge

Our Programs: Build's Power for Success

Women's Power is an 8-week educational home repair cohort program free of no charge for low-income women of color.

Women's Power is a program to help give our low-income women power to fix things around their homes. This cohort touches basis on Drywalling, Electrical, Plumbing, Installation of laminate flooring and ceramic tile. Women's Power is to help save low-income women from financial distress, sometime eviction from low-income housing, and just being ripped off because they just don't have the knowledge to know how much repairs may cost.

The outcome of this program is to make sure our women will be able to do complete a task they couldn't do when they started the training. This training will give women a sense of power, save their homes and build self-confidence within themselves. Participants will receive a certificate of completion for the cohort, and they will also be gifted their tools for future use at their homes.
