"Introducing Team Grow.... By Shanda Harris
It is relatively new but it is a really great program that was created to help people learn to do home fixtures and home repairs by themselves. Things that you keep reporting to maintenance department...or even when there is no maintenance department...you grab your own tools and get it done. Keep your house from falling apart. This couldn't have come at a better time because we were in for approximately 2yrs with no home repairs or maintenance to our units. Needless to say, we were starved knowledge regarding any kind of do it yourself jobs. Not only can we change our own bolt locks but we put the Toilet paper roll piece back on... we can do the entire shower tile and flooring and ever turn off power through the breaker box to replace or old ceiling fans with a new one. It has truly been empowering, and saved us mega bucks.
Thought this would be one of the programs to consider bringing on board. if you want consumers being responsible for neat and better housekeeping trainings. This is how I see them gain the confidence and know how to be successful if they go through this program.
Let me know... I can reach out to Ms Shanda Harris who heads Team Grow."

"Hi my name is Clarissa Bratcher and I'm 70 years of age. I attended the Women's Power Training course, and it was a great experience for me at my age. I learned how to properly hang my pictures on the wall and stop damaging them by putting holes in my walls. I'm a homeowner on a fixed income, which sometimes I just can't afford to pay for repairs or just having pictures put on the walls. This program has taught me so much about fixing small things that we think are bigger than what they really are. Not being afraid to drill a screw into the wall is great for me. Now I can do little projects on my own and feel very confident about what I'm doing. This program was needed a long time ago just to help us women be better and do better. I hope funding continues for years to come because it's much needed to keep the Women's Power program going. And the gifting of the tools and the end of the program was a surprise I was not expecting."

"Hello my name is Belinda Upsher being one of many in the very first class of the Woman's Power program gave me a feeling of leadership by setting an example for all future participants. With that being said I never missed a class during our six week period, twice a week with a schedule that included teaching us skills at an entry level position covering electrical, plumbing, carpentry including installing ceramics tile and hardwood flooring.
I most appreciated the hands-on experience plus a tool bag and belt full of tools to continue our practices along with a certificate of completion at the end of the six weeks which made it an experience I will never forget.
Thanks"

"Being able to complete this program has been such a blessing to me. I feel so much more confident when doing repairs around the house. Also I've been able to share my experience and knowledge that I've learned with my family and friends."
